LOCAL INFO

There’s so much to see and do in the Niagara Region! While you’re in Niagara for ARUCC 2022, find a few moments to stand near the brink of the spectacular Canadian Horseshoe Falls or ride a Niagara City Cruise for an authentic “mist-in-your-face” trip to the base of the 13-storey Falls! Take a Journey Behind the Falls – literally - or get an overhead view of the whirlpool rapids while riding the Whirlpool Aero Car. Stroll through the beautiful public gardens within a short walk of the Sheraton Fallsview, or visit the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens and enjoy free admission to year-round floral and horticultural displays.

The Niagara region is also home to more than 90 wineries, many within a short drive of Niagara Falls. Niagara’s location in the shelter of the Niagara escarpment means it enjoys a unique, moderate micro-climate. Combined with Niagara’s mineral-rich soil and accomplished winemakers, the region boasts world class wine production and scenic wineries welcoming visitors year-round. More info about the wineries within Niagara can be found here.

Just a short drive down the scenic Niagara Parkway is the picturesque, historic town of Niagara-on-Lake. Nestled along the Niagara River, this lovely small town is home to renowned live theatre, quaint shops and restaurants.

Hop on Niagara’s WEGO bus to explore the many tourist attractions within a short drive of Niagara Falls. This state-of-the-art bus system is a unique partnership between The City of Niagara Falls and The Niagara Parks Commission to provide integrated bus service to visitors. Click the WEGO link for details.
